Most families think of the SAT as a gate: score high enough and the college opens the door. That is true, but it is the smaller half of the story. The bigger half is what the score does to the price, and it is the half most families discover only after the applications are already submitted.
This means a targeted score increase can have a precise dollar value. Moving from a 1380 to a 1450 might change nothing at one school and be worth $60,000 at another. Knowing which schools reward which thresholds should shape both the college list and the prep plan. It is one of the only places in the college process where the return on a few months of work can be calculated in advance.

Our families have earned more than $4.5 million in scholarships since 2007. That number is not a side effect. Scholarship strategy is built into our college counseling because the score and the money are the same conversation, and we plan both at the same table.
A great score does not just get a student in. It changes what the acceptance letter costs.
